M&P Mechanical is a leading provider of plumbing, heating, and mechanical contracting services, with over a decade of experience delivering high-quality solutions to clients across Ireland. Founded in 2011 by Mark O'Rourke, alongside his wife Pauline, the company was built on a foundation of industry expertise, dedication to client satisfaction, and a commitment to innovation. Today, we are proud to have grown into a team of over 100 employees, supported by over 150 subcontractors working on-site daily along with a fleet of over 50 vehicles, delivering excellence in every project we undertake.


From design and supply to installation, servicing, and maintenance, M&P Mechanical offers a comprehensive range of services, including heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, water services, plant fit-outs, mechanical refurbishments, and process systems. Our specialized servicing and maintenance division ensures long-term reliability and performance for all our clients.

​2022 – Industry Awards and Safety Commitment

  • We were proud recipients of the Irish Enterprise Award – Best Multi-Sector Heating and Plumbing Contractor.

  • We became CIF Safety Partners, highlighting our dedication to safe and sustainable operations continued in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

2023 – Scaling Up

  • We were awarded two of our largest-scale developments to date — Shanganagh and Claremont — delivering over 1,050 units combined for Walls Construction.

  • That year also saw our founder, Mark O’Rourke, receive the Special Recognition Award at the Plumbing and Heating Awards — a proud moment for everyone at M&P Mechanical. The award honored Mark’s vision, leadership, and dedication to raising standards within the mechanical services industry. It recognized not only his personal commitment to excellence and innovation but also the strong company culture he has built over the years, one that continues to drive M&P Mechanical’s success today.

  • We were honored as Mechanical Contractor of the Year 2024 by the Republic of Ireland Prestige Awards.

Founded in 2011 by Mark and Pauline O’Rourke, the company began with a simple vision; to deliver high-quality mechanical services with genuine care for our clients, our people, and our community. Over the years, that vision has grown into one of Ireland’s most respected mechanical contracting companies, while always staying true to its family roots.

A Family That Leads Together

M&P Mechanical remains proudly family-run.
Mark and Pauline’s children, Darren and Niamh O’Rourke, play integral roles in the day-to-day running of the business.

 

Darren has been M&P Mechanical since 2015, beginning his career as an apprentice and developing his skills through hard work, determination, and hands-on experience. Having completed his full apprenticeship with the company, Darren has steadily progressed within the business, earning the respect and trust of both management and site teams alike. Now a senior Mechanical foreman, Darren plays a key role in overseeing plant room operations and ensuring each project is delivered to the high standards expected at M&P Mechanical. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and technical ability, Darren is highly regarded by everyone on site. He also manages the company’s extensive fleet of vehicles, ensuring smooth operations across all locations.

 

Niamh later joined M&P Mechanical in 2020 as a purchasing admin, while studying bookkeeping part-time. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail quickly saw her transition into the accounts department, where she gained valuable experience in the financial side of the business. Over time, Niamh’s leadership abilities and commitment to excellence led her to take on a management role in our Dublin office, where she now oversees daily operations. She also leads our Quality and Compliance functions, ensuring best practices are maintained both on-site and off-site. Niamh plays a key role in upholding our ISO and Safe-T-Cert certifications, driving continuous improvement across all areas of the company.

Elaine Ward has been with M&P Mechanical since its inception in 2011 and has worked alongside Managing Director, Mark O’Rourke, for decades. As one of the company’s longest-serving team members, Elaine has been a constant presence in M&P’s growth and success, built on a foundation of trust, loyalty, and continuous development. Beginning her career as an Accounts Administrator, Elaine’s dedication and attention to detail saw her progress into Payroll Management, and she now serves as Financial Director. She plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the business while managing our Headquarters in Castlebellingham. Elaine is deeply valued for her reliability and discretion. She provides vital support to both Mark and TJ in their daily operations and has been instrumental in mentoring Niamh as she developed within the company. Her professionalism and steady guidance continue to underpin the smooth running of M&P Mechanical at every level. â€‹â€‹

TJ Collier joined M&P Mechanical in 2013 and has built a long-standing professional relationship with Managing Director, Mark O’Rourke. Beginning his career with the company as a Senior Plumber, TJ’s technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence saw him progress through the roles of Project Manager and Contracts Manager before taking on his current position as Operations Director.

Highly respected across the company, TJ is known for his calm and composed approach to leadership and his strong rapport with both site teams, office staff and clients. He brings a wealth of operational knowledge and industry insight to every project, ensuring quality, efficiency, and collaboration remain at the forefront. TJ plays a central role in the day-to-day running of M&P Mechanical, overseeing project delivery, mentoring upcoming leaders, and driving a culture of safety and accountability across all sites. His ability to communicate effectively and foster lasting relationships has been instrumental in maintaining M&P Mechanical’s reputation for professionalism, reliability, and excellence, ensuring that M&P Mechanical continues to meet the highest standards of performance and client satisfaction. His contribution to the company’s growth and culture cannot be overstated.

James Linehan joined M&P Mechanical in 2024 as Commercial Director, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong technical background in the mechanical and building services industry. He holds several diplomas in Building Services Engineering and recently completed a Master of Engineering (Honours) in Engineering Management, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development. Since joining the company, James has made significant contributions across both office and site operations, implementing new processes and efficiencies that have strengthened M&P Mechanical’s commercial and project delivery capabilities. His strategic mindset, technical expertise, and collaborative approach have quickly earned him the respect of both management and site teams alike. James plays an integral role within the leadership team, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring every project is delivered with value, professionalism, and precision. He has quickly become a trusted and highly valued member of the M&P Mechanical family.

Our Offices and People

M&P Mechanical operates from two offices; our Headquarters in Castlebellingham, Co. Louth, and our Dublin office in Sandyford, Dublin 18. Together, these offices form the backbone of our operations, supporting projects across Ireland with a strong and efficient administrative, commercial, and operational structure. Within both offices, several dedicated departments work collaboratively to ensure the seamless delivery of every project.

Purchasing Department:

Our Purchasing Department plays a vital role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and ensuring every site is equipped to deliver on time and to specification. The team is led by Aisling Lawless, who joined M&P Mechanical in 2023. Starting as a Purchasing Administrator, Aisling’s strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach have seen her progress into a leadership role in a remarkably short time. With the guidance of both Kevin Murphy and Niamh O’Rourke, Aisling has implemented a new, fully integrated purchasing system tailored specifically to M&P Mechanical’s needs - improving tracking, communication, and overall efficiency. She has quickly become a valued member of the team and a key part of the company’s growth.

Supporting Aisling is Senior Purchaser Amanda Bourke, whose experience and product knowledge ensure accuracy and consistency across all procurement activities. Purchasing Administrators Eoin Lynham and Jodie Kelly complete the team, providing essential coordination between suppliers, project managers, and site teams.

Accounts Department:

Our Accounts Department is led by Elaine Ward, Financial Director, who has been with M&P Mechanical since its founding in 2011. With decades of experience and a deep understanding of the company’s operations, Elaine oversees all financial processes, from payroll and budgeting to strategic financial planning.

Working closely alongside Elaine is Niamh O’Rourke, who brings a strong background in bookkeeping, compliance, and administration. Niamh’s focus on detail and efficiency ensures our accounts and certification systems continue to meet the highest standards.

Supporting the department is Gemma Lawless, who provides vital administrative and accounts assistance, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations across both offices.

Engineering Department: 

Our Engineering Department is the technical core of M&P Mechanical, driving innovation, precision, and performance across all projects. The team combines extensive industry experience with a collaborative, solution-focused approach that ensures every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. 

Leading the department is Contracts Manager, James Lyons, who joined M&P Mechanical in 2025. James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company, having worked across a wide range of mechanical and building services projects. Since joining, he has implemented numerous improvements both on-site and in-house, strengthening communication, planning, and technical delivery across all departments. His leadership and strategic insight have made a notable impact in a short time.

Working alongside James, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Luke Farren who has been with us since 2020, and Senior Building Services Engineer, Cormac Ryan who joined us in 2019, provide technical guidance and mentorship to our junior engineers. Together, they ensure that every design, installation, and commissioning stage is executed with accuracy and attention to detail.

Supporting the department is Health & Safety Senior Administrator, Cristiane Cordeiro, who plays a vital role in coordinating between the site and office teams. Her work ensures safety compliance, documentation control, and alignment with our ISO and Safe-T-Cert standards - maintaining the culture of safety and professionalism that defines M&P Mechanical. Cristiane holds extensive experience in Microsoft, which she uses to streamline reporting and documentation processes. She works closely with senior management staff TJ Collier, Niamh O'Rourke and James Linehan providing key administrative and safety support that keeps projects and teams aligned across the business.

Servicing and Maintenance Division

Established in 2019, our Servicing and Maintenance Division has become a key part of M&P Mechanical’s continued growth, supporting clients with reliable, professional aftercare across all mechanical systems. The division provides planned preventative maintenance, emergency call-outs, and tailored service solutions that ensure efficiency, compliance, and long-term performance.

The division is led by Alan Curran and Kevin Murphy, who bring complementary strengths to the business.

Alan Curran has been with M&P Mechanical since 2015, beginning his journey as a tradesman and progressing steadily through the company. Through hard work, leadership, and hands-on experience, Alan now oversees all field-based servicing operations. He manages our on-site maintenance teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Alan’s commitment to quality and his strong rapport with clients and site teams make him an invaluable member of the leadership group.

Kevin Murphy, who joined M&P Mechanical in 2020, has extensive experience in purchasing and supply chain management, having previously worked within our Purchasing Department. In recent times, Kevin transitioned into a Sales and Operations Management role, where he now oversees the in-house office team and coordinates client service contracts, quotations, and scheduling. He has successfully implemented Fieldmotion, a new digital field management system that streamlines communication, reporting, and workflow across the division, which is going to be the backbone in operations, organizational going forward.

Supporting Kevin in the office is Ann O’Connor, who provides essential administrative and coordination support. Ann plays a key role in managing client communications, scheduling, and service documentation, ensuring the smooth flow of information between office operations and field teams.

Together, Alan and Kevin lead a growing team of 15 skilled professionals, encompassing both office-based staff and on-site service engineers. The division continues to expand year on year, driven by strong client demand, operational excellence, and a reputation for dependable service delivery. Their leadership ensures that the Servicing and Maintenance Division operates efficiently, delivers exceptional customer service, and upholds M&P Mechanical’s longstanding reputation for reliability and long-term client care.

On-Site Excellence

With over 100 direct staff and more than 150 subcontractors working nationwide, our site teams are the true backbone of M&P Mechanical. Their dedication, craftsmanship, and commitment to safety and quality are what set us apart on every project we deliver. Our site operations are led by a team of experienced Project Managers - Aidan Kerr (2013), Darren O’Neill (2013), Dean Hussey (2016), Ian Reilly (2023), Philip Martin (2011), Ronan Walsh (2017), and Peter McGeeney (2013) - each of whom has been part of the M&P journey for many years. Their long-standing service and deep understanding of our company values reflect exactly what M&P Mechanical is built on: loyalty, consistency, and pride in every job.

These Project Managers have grown alongside the business, developing their skills through hard work, hands-on experience, and a shared commitment to excellence. Many began their journeys on the tools and worked their way into leadership positions, embodying the same progression and opportunity that M&P Mechanical continues to offer to all team members.

Supporting them is our wider site workforce - a team of skilled plumbers, apprentices, and laborer's who bring expertise, enthusiasm, and teamwork to every project. Our apprentices are a vital part of M&P Mechanical’s future, learning from experienced mentors and gaining hands-on experience across a variety of complex mechanical installations. We take great pride in seeing our apprentices grow within the company, many of whom go on to become qualified tradespeople and future leaders within our team.

Behind the scenes, our stock control team plays an equally important role, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are managed efficiently and delivered to site on time. Their coordination and attention to detail keep operations running smoothly and help maintain our high standards of organization and productivity.

Every member of the M&P team plays a vital role in our success story; from apprentices just starting their careers to seasoned professionals leading large-scale projects. We operate as one extended family, united by shared values of respect, quality, and integrity, and a common goal: to deliver mechanical solutions that stand the test of time.

​Private Works Division

​Our Private Works Division operates at the heart of M&P Mechanical’s hands-on success, delivering bespoke mechanical solutions for private clients and specialist projects. This close-knit team works directly alongside Managing Director, Mark O’Rourke, and Operations Director, TJ Collier, ensuring that every project reflects the company’s trademark quality, efficiency, and personal touch.

Leading the way are Conor McCabe, who has been with M&P Mechanical since 2015, and Mark Heavey, who joined in 2023. Together, they form the backbone of the Private Works team; two highly skilled and dedicated professionals who consistently deliver outstanding results. Known for their strong work ethic, precision, and problem-solving abilities, they have earned the trust and respect of both colleagues and clients alike. Conor and Mark approach every job with a sense of ownership and pride, often managing complex installations with minimal resources; proving that hard work, experience, and teamwork can achieve exceptional results. Their reliability, professionalism, and commitment to excellence embody exactly what M&P Mechanical stands for.

This division continues to grow under their leadership, maintaining long-standing relationships with private clients who value M&P Mechanical’s consistent quality and personal approach.
