Engineering Team

Our Engineering Department is the technical core of M&P Mechanical, driving innovation, precision, and performance across all projects. The team combines extensive industry experience with a collaborative, solution-focused approach that ensures every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. 


James Lyons joined M&P Mechanical in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience accumulated over 15 years in the industry. A proficient problem-solver and effective multitasker, he has successfully overseen numerous projects of varying scale and complexity, often delivering managerial oversight across multiple assignments simultaneously. He has a proven track record in leading teams and delivering exceptional results for clients. His responsibilities span HVAC, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works, where he supports clients through comprehensive, turnkey project delivery. He is committed to ongoing professional development and holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick, a Leadership & Management Diploma from Queen’s University Belfast, and certification as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC). James’s extensive technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities have made him a valued addition to the M&P Mechanical project management department.


Luke Farren is a key member of M&P Mechanical’s Engineering Department, bringing over six years of experience across the semiconductor, residential, and commercial construction sectors. Since joining the company in 2020, he has contributed strong technical expertise and a solutions-driven approach to major projects including Shanganagh Castle and Claremont Howth. Luke oversees design coordination, technical reviews, and on-site engineering support, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and compliant mechanical installations. Known for his calm leadership style, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, he works closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems. He is committed to continuous professional development and has completed a range of industry qualifications, including IOSH Safety, Health & Environment for Construction Site Managers and First Aid Response, strengthening his capability in safety management, process improvement, and project efficiency. Luke also holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). In addition to his technical work, Luke mentors junior engineers and actively contributes to the ongoing development and excellence of the engineering team. His professionalism, technical ability, and dedication make him a valued member of the M&P Mechanical team.


Cormac Ryan joined M&P Mechanical in 2019 and is a highly valued member of our Engineering Department, bringing over six years of experience across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As Senior Building Services Engineer, he plays a key role in delivering complex mechanical systems on large-scale developments, including Claremont Howth, Carriglea, Santa Sabina, and Blackwood Square. A graduate of DIT Bolton Street with a BEng in Building Services Engineering, Cormac specialises in AutoCAD, BIM modelling, and the production of coordinated services drawings; ensuring seamless alignment between design intent and on-site installation. His precision, technical discipline, and ability to translate complex layouts into clear, buildable models make him an essential contributor to project planning and execution. Known for his strong document management skills, commitment to safety, and collaborative approach, Cormac consistently supports high-quality and efficient project delivery across all stages of construction. His versatility and reliability make him a trusted and integral member of the M&P Mechanical team.
