With over 40 years of experience in the plumbing, heating, and mechanical services industry, Mark O’Rourke is the driving force behind M&P Mechanical. Mark began his career as an apprentice, and from an early stage his strong work ethic, technical expertise, and natural leadership set him apart. He quickly progressed through the industry, gaining invaluable experience and respect across residential, commercial, industrial, and large-scale mechanical projects.

In 2011, Mark and his wife Pauline took the plunge and established M&P Mechanical with a clear vision; to build a strong family-run business grounded in quality workmanship, reliability, and genuine client care. Through determination, strategic planning, and a commitment to excellence, Mark grew the business from a small operation into one of Ireland’s leading mechanical contracting companies in just 14 years.

A proud family man, Mark credits much of the company’s success to the support of Pauline and their family, who remain deeply involved in the business. Their joint leadership has shaped M&P Mechanical into a trusted, people-focused company with long-standing client relationships and a reputation for excellence.

While Mark’s vision laid the foundation for M&P Mechanical, he is the first to acknowledge that the company’s achievements would not be possible without the dedicated team who have stood by him throughout the years. In 2023, Mark received a Special Recognition Award at the Plumbing & Heating Awards, honouring his outstanding contribution to the industry. This award acknowledged not only his decades of technical expertise but also his dedication to developing talent, championing high standards, and continuously raising the bar within the mechanical contracting sector.
