Creating Safe Spaces for Children and Young People at Aoibhneas

We’re proud to share a look inside the newly developed Children and Youth Space at Aoibhneas, a project close to our hearts and one that reflects the power of community and collaboration.

This thoughtfully designed space was created to support children and young people impacted by domestic abuse. Every element has been designed with safety, comfort, and creativity in mind, giving children a place where they can play, express themselves, and begin to heal. More than just a room, it’s an environment that fosters resilience, trust, and connection.

For many children, domestic abuse brings uncertainty and trauma into their lives. Spaces like this are vital in breaking the cycle, providing young people with the care and stability they need to rebuild confidence and find their voice again. At Aoibhneas, a child-centered and trauma-informed approach ensures that their needs are recognized and supported at every stage.

At M&P Mechanical, we are especially proud to have contributed to this project. Supporting Aoibhneas means supporting families and individuals at one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Domestic abuse affects not only the person experiencing it, but also their children. By helping to create safe, supportive spaces, we are helping to ensure brighter futures for young people.
